While switching from morning work to math (shinetime)...
Mrs. Absher would have their folders ready to hand out that way when it was time to swtich classrooms, the students were already prepared
"Take out your dry erase board and marker for math"
To centers...
would tell students to put away their shinetime folder and would begin to go over worksheets for centers
call select students for individual reading/group reading (sight words/hop and pop)
Getting students ready for Specials...
Call them up by rows and let them go to the bathroom... when they return to their desk have them put their center work in their center folder
whoever is the quietes, she calls on that row to put up their center folder and get in line
Placement 2: Transition was very basic in my second placement. Since it was a Resource classroom the only transition they did was coming in and out of the classroom. They were SUPPOSE to come in quietly and wait on the teachers instruction, but usually they were loud, obnoxious, and talkative. Class usually started ten minutes after it was suppose to.
Teacher claps a pattern and have the students repeat the exact same pattern.
